Businesses aim to solve problems for customers. Customers care about the obstacles that keep them from achieving their goals. They are not interested in your solution – at least at first.
The Problem box on the Lean Canvas model provides space to clarify the issue you're solving. Explain the customers’ frustrations and talk about how you're going to help them. These frustrations will often appear in the form of actions the customer needs to take before they complete a task.
For example, Chatterbox has made it possible for refugees to use their linguistic skills to act as language teachers in organisations. This is solving problems for two different types of customers. The first type of customer is organisations and businesses who want to develop their international connections and expertise. The second type is refugees who need to find work in a new area and might not have qualifications recognised in the country they’ve moved to. Chatterbox employs refugees as teachers of their native languages who provide both linguistic and cultural expertise to organisations, solving both problems for the customers.
Les entreprises ont vocation à résoudre des problématiques auxquelles sont confrontés les clients. Les clients sont sensibles aux obstacles qui les empêchent d'atteindre leurs objectifs. Ils ne sont pas intéressés par votre solution, tout du moins à première vue.
La case Problématique du modèle Lean Canvas fournit un espace où il convient d'exprimer clairement la problématique que vous souhaitez résoudre. Expliquez les frustrations du client et comment vous allez l'aider. Ces frustrations vont souvent apparaître sous la forme d'actions que le client devra mener avant d'achever une tâche.
Par exemple, Netflix a réduit le nombre d'étapes à suivre pour regarder un film. Avant Netflix et les autres services de visionnage de films en streaming, les clients devaient se rendre dans un vidéo-club, payer un prix élevé pour louer un film et retourner ensuite leur vidéo dans le délai imparti. Netflix a supprimé ces actions et a rendu les films disponibles dans les maisons des clients moyennant un abonnement mensuel à un prix moins élevé.
Bedrijven willen de problemen van hun klanten oplossen. Klanten vinden het belangrijk om belemmeringen voor het behalen van hun doelen weg te nemen. Ze zijn in eerste instantie niet geïnteresseerd in uw oplossing.
In het probleemvakje op het Lean Canvas-model kunt u het probleem waarvoor u een oplossing biedt verder uitwerken. Leg uit welke problemen uw klanten hebben en vertel hoe u ze gaat helpen. De problemen zijn vaak handelingen die de klanten moeten verrichten voordat ze een taak kunnen afronden.
Netflix heeft bijvoorbeeld het aantal stappen dat nodig is om een film te kijken verminderd. Vroeger ging je naar de videotheek om een dure film te huren. Die je ook nog binnen een bepaalde tijd moest terugbrengen. Netflix neemt al deze handelingen weg en stelt films beschikbaar voor een goedkoper maandbedrag.
